Richard Cruz

Richard Cruz came from Fresno where he graduated from Fresno State. He was an outstanding trumpet player in jazz and in chamber music. He taught for many years at Fullerton College and received national recognition for his teaching and adjudicating. The Fullerton College Lemon Street Stompers were yearly finalists in the Southern Comfort Dixie Jazz Contest/Competition and Cruz established one of the first college Dixie festivals.
