Les Nunes
Les is a retired music educator. He taught at Clovis High and Clark Intermediate, Roosevelt, Bullard High, and Sunny Hills High schools. He was also an adjunct instructor at Fresno State, Fresno Pacific, and FCC. Les has conducted the All-State Junior High jazz band, the FMCMEA Honor Jazz band, and the TKMEA Honor Jazz band. He was the Outstanding Jazz Educator in California in 2016 and a finalist for Calif. Middle School Teacher of the Year. Les is an accomplished trombonist/ vocalist and has performed as a freelance artist locally and statewide with the After Dinner Mints, The Hal Magnie Big Band, Fire, and Rain, Banda Libertade De Valle, Rumba 32, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Frankie Valli, Bobby Vinton, The Drifters, Kaye Starr, Gloria Gaynor, The Who, Gladys Knight, Andy Gibb, Melissa Manchester, Guy Lombardo Orch. and many others.
